Towards a zero waste lifestyle: Aravella Salonikidou

In this section we have included this small article that, although it is not exactly a didactic unit, presents very interesting content that can be transformed into a well-structured unit in the future. The participants in the project carried out an interview with Aravella Salonikidou, responsible together with other people for the 11:11 COSMUS DIY project, in the patio of their association, where they received us with the enormous kindness that characterizes the Greek people.

Aravella( already mentioned in a larger article in the "Trips" section) is a woman who began her career as a fashion designer, always with the idea of respect for the environment in mind. In the series of 5 videos that we are presenting, you will be able to discover what her ideas are regarding this and how little by little she has evolved towards a life in which she tries to pollute the planet with the least amount of waste possible. In a pleasant and informal way, she introduces us to this concept and gives us small clues about how we can move towards this model of life.

Her advice is that this change should be done gradually, step by step, since it implies many modifications in our life habits that, undertaken all together, can lead to failure. The ideal technique consists of setting small objectives for oneself and achieving them to, then, undertake new ones and gradually expand the field.

We will put into practice some of the things we have learned and we hope that those of you who dare to watch the videos will also do so.

Together we can achieve a better world!

The era of plastic.

The Greek school with whom we are working: 24 DIMOTIKO SCHOLIO THESSALONIKIS, prepared an interesting didactic unit that shows us how harmful this material can be for the environment and encourages us not to use plastic.

Metal is everywhere...

Do you want to know why we say that metal is everywhere? The Erasmus+ team from Agrupa- mento de Escolas de Pedome has created the following presentation to show us why?

Glass: a material with many lives

Through this lesson plan created at the IES de Catabois, with whom we collaborate, we intend to explain the processes that are followed when creating glass products and how they can be recycled after use. We also pay attention to its impact on the environment. We hope you like it and that you learn a lot!
